THE PROJECT

Objective

This project aims to respond to the identified training needs of addiction professionals across the EU. To do so, the project partners will develop the first open and multilingual e-learning platform for addiction professionals.

The e-learning platform will be accessible from computers, tablets and smartphones and it will include four units, covering the following topics: prevention, intervention and treatment of addictions without substance; prevention, intervention and treatment of addictions in young people; the gender perspective in the prevention, intervention and treatment of addictions; and the European drug prevention quality standards.

Activities

ACTIVITY 1: DEVELOPMENT AND TRANSLATION (November 2019 - April 2020)

The development of the e-learning platform has been distributed according to each partner's expertise.

Once the first development is completed, the partners will translate it from English into Spanish, Slovenian, Portuguese, French, Romanian, French and Czech in order to get ready for the next project activity: the testing.

ACTIVITY 2: TESTING (May - November 2020)

In order to evaluate how effective is the e-learning platform in delivering the target learning outcomes, a validation will be carried out in six pilots (Spain, Slovenia, Portugal, Belgium, Romania and Czech Republic). Thirty addiction professionals will participate in the testing, five in each pilot.

ACTIVITY 3: IMPROVEMENT AND TRANSLATION (December 2020 - August 2021)

The partners will evaluate the results from the testing and define the necessary improvements to ensure that the e-learning platform answers the training needs of the addiction professionals. During the following months, the partners will implement these improvements.

Once the improvement is completed, the partners will translate the final version from English into Spanish, Slovenian, Portuguese, French, Romanian and Czech.

ACTIVITY 4: PUBLICATION (September 2021)

The e-learning platform will be published in seven languages (English, Spanish, Slovenian, Portuguese, French, Romanian and Czech) in September 2021.

ACTIVITY 5: MULTIPLIER EVENTS (October 2021)

The project partners will organise several events in all the countries represented in the project to present the e-learning platform to addiction professionals and other stakeholders.
